In addition to the business awards, three awards showcase educators and students — the Problem Solving Innovator of the Year (for post-secondary students), Future Tech Leader of the Year (a student in kindergarten through 12th grade) and the STEM Educator of the Year award.
Those nominees were announced previously. The recipients of each award, which also will be announced at the luncheon, will receive a scholarship to go toward their education or classroom materials.
GWATA is seeking help from the community to raise $10,000 to help fund the scholarships. Supporters can purchase a limited-edition GWATA LastBag from the Twisp manufacturer eqpd (pronounced “equipped”), and 100 percent of the retail profit will go directly into the scholarship fund.
